Opposition to Bayer-Monsanto merger

Several hundred people gathered at the BAYER AG annual meeting in Bonn on May 25th to oppose the "deadly marriage" of Bayer and Monsanto.

If the merger takes place, Bayer would control 90% of the market for GMO (genetically modifed) seeds, around 30% of conventional seeds and more than 20% of all pesticides.

That would mean a world environment even more affected by industrialized agriculture and poisons.
