Can Time Inc. Survive the Kochs? November 28, 2017 By
..."This year, among the Kochs’ aims is to spend a projected four hundred million dollars in contributions from themselves and a small group of allied conservative donors they have assembled, to insure Republican victories in the 2018 midterm elections. Take Action Today on Ferguson, MO

"WE ACT for Environmental Justice is calling on all members and allies to step up in solidarity and demand action following the killing of Michael Brown."

WE ACT for Environmental Justice is a Northern Manhattan community-based organization whose mission is to build healthy communities.

"Although the recent events in Ferguson have captivated us all, the movement against police brutality extends far beyond Missouri borders. Indeed, many of you know all too well how communities of color in New York City are also affected by systemic police targeting and brutality. Moreover, we have seen time and time again how unresponsive police departments are to our concerns and how slow they are to change their tactics. Northern Manhattan is no exception. Be it police targeting or air pollution from bus depots, communities like ours are repeatedly disenfranchised by decision-makers at every level.

Attorney General Holder has visited Ferguson. The visit and the attention it brings is welcome; however, we want these steps to be followed by concrete action. The Department of Justice has the unique capabilities and direct authority to investigate police departments around the country and enforce fairness, adherence to constitutional values and the rule of law. The nation's focus is on Ferguson, and the now is the time to call for an end to police brutality in all communities of color.

CALL & EMAIL THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TODAY AND TELL ATTORNEY GENERAL HOLDER WE NEED AN INVESTIGATION

Call the DOJ at 202-353-1555 and email AskDOJ@usdoj.gov

Attorney General Holder: Your visit to Ferguson, including meeting with the family of Michael Brown, is an encouraging sign. I would like to see these steps immediately followed by concrete action. I ask that you put the full weight of the Justice Department toward investigating and preventing the unchecked targeting of black and brown youths by law enforcement across the United States."
