The Story of Bottled Water

For the millions world-wide who appreciate Annie Leonard's animated The Story of Stuff, about planned waste of resources, check out her latest, The Story of Bottled Water, released on March 22, 2010 (World Water Day). See also The Story of Cap and Trade, which brings some clarity to plans to make pollution a commodity. Bravo Annie and Co!

Welcome to WLOE e.V.

"Women and Life on Earth: women in international cooperation for peace, ecology and social justice" (WLOE e.V.) is a German non-profit association. But our name goes back to the Women and Life on Earth movement of analysis and activism based on ecological feminism. more On the 30th anniversary of the 1980 Women & Life on Earth conference we opened a new office in Bonn.

Women and Climate Change

EcoMujer, WECF and WLOE e.V. call for women’s action for climate justice
From May 31 to June 11, 2010, a climate conference in Bonn prepared for the next big climate summit meeting in Mexico (December 2010). Given the lack of political action in Copenhagen, a Climate Wave alliance formed. Among other activities it organized a demonstration on June 5 (World Environment Day) to take a stand for climate protection and climate justice.
We participated in this demonstration (see photo right) because climate/environmental issues are intrinsically related to issues of gender justice.
