Global Solidarity Summit at G-20 in Hamburg
"Why an Alternative Summit?
The G20 defends a system, that boosts social inequality. We point out the links between the global problems and discuss alternatives, that can provide a solution.
How can we overcome poverty, exploitation, opresssion, war and the destruction of nature? Ho can we enforce social and democratic rights on a global scale? Ho do we fight racism, misogyny, and homophobia? How do we achieve a solidarity-oriented community that is based on cooperation and self-determination? How does an economic system look like, that serves the people?
We are convinced that other policies are possible!
Therefore, we gather at the Global Solidarity Summit. During 12 panel discussions and more than 70 workshops we collect with scientists, activists and polititians from all over the world our criticism of the ruling policies, share our alternatives and discuss strategies to realize a solidarity-oriented world.
Our Alternative Summit is backed by a broad alliance of 77 initiatives and organisations.
